Step 1. Get the Zune software

Download Zune 4.0 software to get started. It’s free and opens the door for you to experience your music, video, and picture collection in cool new ways. It also connects you to a massive online marketplace of digital entertainment and the Zune Social.

Step 2. Charge the battery on your Zune

Power up to enjoy hours of digital entertainment. Out of the box your Zune may require charging to start and then reach full battery capacity. Connect your Zune to a high-power USB port, usually on the back of your computer, using the sync cable or Zune dock.

Step 3. Set up your Zune on a computer

Turn your Zune on while it’s plugged in to your computer and the Zune software will take you through the easy setup steps. You’ll be able to link your Zune to your computer and start syncing music, videos, and podcasts to play on the go.
