Share stuff with your friends. Turn on wireless to beam songs, podcasts, pictures, and playlists to a nearby Zune.

Zune players need to be within wireless range of each other to share songs and other items.


Send a song

  1. Select music, songs, then choose the song you want to beam.
  2. Select send.
  3. Choose the Zune you want to beam your song to.

You can receive a beamed song on your Zune only once, no matter who beamed it to you the first time. You can listen to it up to three times; there's no time limit. You may not be able to share all the songs on your Zune. Also, beaming only works between Zune player using version 2.x of the Zune player software. Send an album or playlist

  1. Select music.
  2. Select albums or playlists.
  3. Choose the album or playlist you want to beam.
  4. Select send.
  5. Choose the Zune you want to beam your album or playlist to.

As with individual songs, you may not be able to share all the songs on an album or playlist.


Send a podcast

  1. Select podcasts, then choose the podcast you want to beam.
  2. Select send.
  3. Choose the Zune you want to beam your podcast to.

Send a picture

  1. Select pictures.
  2. Choose the picture you want to beam.
  3. Press the center of the Zune pad and select send.
  4. Choose the Zune you want to beam your picture to.

Send a folder of pictures

  1. Select pictures.
  2. Select by folder.
  3. Choose the folder of pictures you want to beam.
  4. Select send.
  5. Choose the Zune you want to beam your pictures to.
